Friday evening the Mirabile C-1 School is looking to raise some funds for the basketball team.  “We’ve had the same score board forever,” said Habrock, “We do have a little basketball team that plays some area schools like New York, Kingston, and Cowgill.  We’re just a little tiny school on a short budget, so we are hosting a fundraiser to get a new score board for all these games we’ll be playing.”

The night’s food and entertainment does not hold a price tag, just hopes of donations.  “The show itself is like a talent show,” Habrock said, “We’ve asked people to send in ideas of what they’d like to do and what kind of talents they have.  It’s a family event, so we want it to be nice and clean for the kiddos, and microphones and speakers will be available.   Then we’ll be having a spaghetti dinner with garlic toast, salad, and tons of homemade desserts.”

It’s Friday and if you don’t want to cook, clean-up dishes, and still want to sit back and be entertained, head over to Polo.  “We’re just encouraging everybody to come out,” said Habrock, “If you don’t have a talent just come see ours. We will also have a Ukulele Club playing, which is pretty fun.  Some of the local people will be getting together for that.  We know with  Highway 13 bridge being out, there’s going to be some detours, but it’d be worth the time to find us and come watch.”

Tonight’s dinner will begin at 6:30 in the commons coom in Mirabile C-1 School.  Their address is 2954 SW State RT D, Polo, MO 64671
