MISSOURI — Visitors to the 2019 Missouri State Fair will have an opportunity to attend at a discounted price.
Missouri Farmers Care will hold a food drive benefiting Feeding Missouri, to help provide meals for needy families.
According to a press release Friday, by bringing at least two canned food items to the gate on Tuesday, August 13, guests can attend the state fair for just $2. Additional discounts of $2 carnival rides, on most rides, and $2 concessions from select vendors will also be available.
Discount pricing is only available for attendees age 13 and up.
The Agriculture Building will host displays about food insecurity around the state and how Missourians can help make an impact.
Missouri FFA students will also host the Third Annual Food Insecurity Service Day with the goal of packing over 100,000 meals for six food banks located throughout Missouri.
