Douglas Glen Elson, 63 of Keytesville, MO, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his home.

Doug was born April 9, 1956 in Moberly,MO the son of Charles Glen and Leeleath Helen (Sanders) Elson. He was married to Paula Anderson for 18 years, and then he spent 18 years with his soul mate Diane Williams , who preceded him in death.

Doug was a graduate of Salisbury High School, class of 1974. He worked for the conservation department for a short time, before becoming a self employed working in construction. Doug enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and he loved animals.

Doug is survived by a daughter Mandy (Tom) Graves of Keytesville,MO, a son Matthew(Jessica) Elson of Salisbury, MO, brother Daryl (Jay) Elson of Salisbury,MO, sisters Dora (Terry) Palmer of Keytesville,MO, Denise (Keith) Walser of Salisbury, MO, 9 grandchildren Gideon Elson, Grace Fortner, Charles Fortner, Lillian Fortner, Jeremiah Moser, Isaiah Moser, Miles Elson, Abigail Elson, Joseph Woodruff, a granddaughter Oakley Fortner, aunt Judy Richardsonof Keytesville, MO, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson Phillip Woodruff.

Visitation is Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury with services following at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Miami Cemetery, Miami, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami Cemetery Association
