CASS COUNTY, Mo – A fiery crash in Cass County ended the life of a Kansas City driver Sunday morning, November 13, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Missouri Highway Patrol says the southbound vehicle went off the roadway at the 150 mile-marker of I-49.  It hit the mile marker sign, and went airborne after striking the embankment.

The driver, Randy M. Hodges, 55, was ejected from the vehicle after it crashed into a bridge support pillar, and caught fire.

He was not wearing a seat belt.
