Update: A Warsaw Driver involved in a three vehicle accident in Benton County just before 3 p.m. today is facing numerous charges related to the crash. Gary R. Jones, 75, is alleged to have been Felony driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender, Felony second degree assault-operating a vehicle causing an injury, careless driving involving an accident and no valid drivers license. Jones ran into two vehicles parked in traffic at a construction zone on Highway 65.
A Warsaw driver was taken to the hospital just before 3 p.m. Thursday in Benton County, when he ran into traffic parked in a construction zone.
According to the Highway Patrol, Gary Jones, 75, was Southbound on 65 Highway at Main Street, when he overtook vehicles stopped in traffic that were driven by Karl Crawford, 34, of Lincoln and Jamie Mauk, 42, of Lebanon. Jones pushed Crawford’s jeep into Mauk’s pickup. Jones received moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Hospital.
