JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. – The Highway Patrol is investigating after three teens were injured during an accident in Johnson County Thursday.

According to the patrol report, the driver of the vehicle has not been identified after the vehicle ran off of Southwest 300th Road just West of Highway 58. The vehicle struck a ditch and culvert off the right side of the roadway.

Allison Hughes, 14, of Kingsville was flown to Childrens Mercy with serious injuries. Emmalin Petitt, 17, of Kingsville was transported to Research Hospital with moderate injuries and Summer Thorpe, 14, of Holden was taken by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries.
