RAY COUNTY, Mo. — A pair of Independence residents are facing felony drug allegations in Ray County.

The Highway Patrol reported arresting 35-year-old Jason L. Lackey and 39-year-old Jennifer L. Lackey around 6:40 p.m. Monday in Ray County.

Both are accused of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

Jason Lackey was also wanted on five misdemeanor Independence Police Department warrants, while Jennifer Lackey was sought on a single misdemeanor warrant from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

Both were taken to the Ray County Jail for a 24-hour investigative hold. Formal charges are currently pending.
