Yesterday a KMZU/KRLI listener reported seeing State highway patrol and swat at a resident’s home on Dean Lake in Triplett. The Chariton County Prosecuting Attorney’s office has since put out a press release confirming those statements. Reportedly, James Long, 48, of Triplett had been under a several month long investigation which ended Halloween day with the arrest of Long as well as Jennifer White of Carrollton, James Monnig of Brunswick, Josh Gilpin of Waverly and Amie Calder of Waverly. Long is being charged with possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, maintaining a public nuisance, and the misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the Chariton County Jail on a 25-thousand-dollar cash only bond.
