A Marshall woman, who was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for forgery, is facing additional charges after deputies found what appeared to be a baggie of methamphetamine stuffed in her bra.

Toni Brumit, 22, was being booked into the Saline County Jail Tuesday afternoon when authorities reportedly located 2.9 grams of a crystal-like substance in Brumit’s “brassiere,” according to a report from the sheriff’s office.  Preliminary tests conducted on the baggie were inconclusive and it has been sent to a laboratory for further evaluation.

The report also said Brumit later told detectives she had recently started using meth, but she claimed what deputies found “could be just salt.  I’m not 100% sure.”  A urine sample tested positive for both amphetamines and methamphetamines.  Formal charges have not been filed at this time.

Brumit was placed on a 24-hour hold in the county jail.
