The case against a Lawson man accused of allegedly stealing money from an Excelsior Springs lodge is set for a pre-trial conference Thursday.

Kent Hubbard, 41, was charged in April of last year with one count of theft or stealing after authorities discovered that more than $100,000 had been embezzled from Clay Lodge #207 in Excelsior Springs.

The theft allegedly took place while Hubbard was one of two people at the lodge who could sign checks.

Hubbard will go on trial November 4th after Thursday’s meeting of attorneys in a Clay County courtroom at 9 a.m.
