Carroll County officials are calling on the public to assist in the flood fighting efforts.  Crews are standing by at the Emergency Operations Command Center at the Carrollton Fire Station.  They’re asking residents to bring in their non-perishable items including water and bug spray.  Carroll County Sheriff Troy Hofstetter said the command post is going to be open Monday through Friday from around 8:00 a.m. to 7 p.m.  For additional information, residents are being asked to call the EOC at (660) 542-2178.

At this time, Hofstetter said they have enough people to help sandbag.  He said there is a major need for water and bug spray.
