UPDATE:  11 a.m. – Emergency crews in the city of Holden responded to reports of a gas leak Tuesday morning.

Johnson County Emergency Mgmt Agency responded initially around 9:27 a.m. informing citizens to remain clear of E. 3rd Street and S. Pine Street in Holden, south of Cowboy Inn. Requisite evacuations were made. The utility provider has contained the leak and is currently working on repairs.

Director Troy Armstrong said he was unsure of the cause of the leak.
