Hale City Lodge No. 216 will hold their 2nd Annual Ham & Bean dinner from 11-12 on Saturday November 8th, 2014 at the Community Center in Hale, MO. Menu will include Ham & Beans, Cornbread, Grilled Cheese Sandwich and a drink for a free will donation.
Secretary of the Hale City Lodge No. 216 Lloyd Lyon tells us donations go to a Scholarship fund which is issued out in the amount of $250 to 3 graduating seniors. Other projects they could be involved with include building ramps for handicapped people to be able to access their property. They have also painted a house for an elderly lady who couldn’t. They also cut firewood for people in the community who have been injured to an accident of some sort or who are disabled and are unable to cut the wood themselves for the winter season. Lloyd Lyon says “we have great community sport and a great group of guys that participate in those events out of the Hale Lodge.”
Hale City Lodge continues fundraising efforts to contribute to local charity and scholarship projects. Worship Master Gary Hughes says “the good people of the communities in out service area have been great supporters of our efforts over the years and we are very appreciative of that. Hate City Lodge has been providing scholarships for post secondary education to selected, graduating seniors for over 20 year, along with projects we conduct helping those in need.” Contributions made will make these, and other, programs successful in the future.
