The American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers organization intends to file a lawsuit against the Environmental Protection Agency. AFPM is threatening the lawsuit because the EPA failed to meet deadlines on its 2014 proposal for the renewable fuel mandate. Reports show that AFPM filed a notice of intent for the lawsuit on Monday. The group contends that the EPA should have finalized the 2015 standard by November 30th of this year. President of the manufacturing group, Charles Drevna, said “For some reason, the administration at the EPA feels that it is above the law and does not need to comply with the statutory deadlines of the Renewable Fuels Standards.”
