The Missouri Division of Tourism (MDT) will take its show on the road with five regional meetings March 15-22. Director Ward Franz and MDT staff members will share information regarding Missouri’s tourism industry and updates about the division’s work to increase tourism across the state.
The regional meetings are designed for anyone interested in tourism, including: local and statewide elected officials; community and business leaders; managers and staff from convention and visitors bureaus, chambers of commerce, and economic development organizations; and owners and managers of tourism-related businesses.
Attendees will learn more about tourism’s $17.2 billion economic impact in the state and will have an opportunity to build partnerships and increase communication with others in the industry. Lunch and a Q & A session will provide time for questions and networking with Division of Tourism staff.
Registration is required for industry members and includes lunch. Members of the media are welcome to attend all or part of the meetings. Director Ward Franz can be made available for media interviews with advance notice.
