October 26 @ 6:30 pm - November 16 @ 8:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Monday, repeating indefinitely

Free

Forages are the backbone to the cattle industry here in Missouri. This virtual on-line program has been created to assist landowners in making sound decisions about pasture improvements while allowing for greater carrying capacities over longer periods of time. Topics being discussed will be accessing your current pasture conditions, will it pay to keep my cows/calves, the importance of fertility, understanding your pasture grasses and current grazing practices as well as hay utilization, winter grazing options, long term forage options and winter feeding programs though supplementation. This is intended to be four two-hour programs over four nights with a variety of speakers. A short question and answer session will follow each speaker’s topic.

Register online or please contact the Hickory County MU Extension Office at 417-745-6767 or email wheelerjr@missouri.edu(opens in new window) for instructions as to zoom.
