The Livingston County Fair will be held July 5-22 at the Livingston County Fairgrounds in Chillicothe. This is a closed fair that will only be open to 4-H and FFA members from Livingston County. MDC is hosting a Fish Filleting event on July 9th from 6-8pm at the Krug Park Lagoon in St. Joseph. Come learn basic fish filleting skills then practice your newly learned skill. All equipment and bait is provided between 16 and 64. No registration is required.

Save the date for the Missouri Soybean Association's annual golf tournament at Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond, MO., benefiting SOYPAC. The event is being planned for Thursday, July 16 and more details will be available closer to the date.
MDC will be hosting a virtual fishing clinic at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th. Instructors will cover topics including tackle, casting, fish identification, regulations, and ethics. Participants are asked to pre-register for the virtual clinic with a valid email address by July 16th.
There will be a Pond Workshop for Moniteau County on Tuesday, July 21st from 6:30-9pm at the Co-Mo Electric Cooperative. This workshop will provide attendees with information on pond construction, fish stocking, fish management, aquatic plant identification and management, and pond related wildlife issues.
