Residents of Excelsior Springs could soon see covered parking in their city due to the Downtown Excelsior Partnership. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Executive Director Keith Winge:
The partnership is currently looking at two locations. One is a vacant lot on the east end of Broadway, and the other is a vacant lot where the farmers’ market is currently held. Winge says they have been looking at similar structures in other cities to get design ideas. The entire project is estimated to cost between $150,000 and $250,000. The DEP has some grant money that could potentially be used to fund the project.
