An Excelsior Springs man charged with burglary and tampering, after an incident in late April, was convicted and sentenced Monday in Clay County Circuit Court. Keith Tackett, 24, admitted to burglarizing two Excelsior Springs businesses in the 1900 block of West Jesse James Road in early April. According to police, surveillance footage captured Tackett rummaging through the office area and then stealing the business’s service truck. Tackett was sentenced to 120 days in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
