An Excelsior Springs woman was allegedly part of a retail scam at the Richmond Walmart.

Magen Coursen, 32, was charged with first degree burglary and stealing, according to Richmond Police Department’s Probable Cause statement. Coursen and others who have not yet been charged, allegedly took items from the store and then went to customer service for a cash refund of $26.44 from the stolen items by using a receipt from a Gladstone Walmart. The incidents took place on May 11 and 12, according to court documents. Coursen’s arraignment is set for 9:30 a.m. June 23rd.
