A Farm Business Estate Planning course will be held in Chillicothe and Brookfield over the next few weeks.  Ag Business Specialist Kevin Hansen says the four-class series begins on January 16th.

“We’re going to be talking with folks a little bit about the tools that are available looking at probates, talking about the trusts, how to go about using those (and) incorporating those into you business plan  and just talking about all the sorts of basics that people need to be aware of before they go and visit with an estate planning attorney.”

The four-part series will help attendees become familiar with the tools available to plan their estate.

“They have multiple locations to choose from, one of which is the Grand River Tech School here in Chillicothe.”  Hansen says

Hansen says it’s important attendees attend all four meetings.  They’ll be held from 6 to 9 p.m each Wednesday through February 6th.  Cost to participate is $50 per person or $60 per couple.  January 11th is the final day to register.  For more information or to register contact Kevin Hansen at 660-646-0811 or email jansenk@missouri.edu.  Space is limited.
