The 97th annual Missouri Farm Bureau Conference is being held at the Lake of the Ozarks. Director of Public Affairs, Estel Fretwell says the crowd of farmers and ranchers are spending much of their time setting policy for the organization.
Between today Monday and Tuesday, members will decide where the state organization stands on the various issues. Fretwell says members will likely discuss management of the Missouri River and the current initiative petition from the Humane Society of the United States titled “Your vote counts.”
According to Fretwell, around 15-hundred people attend the event each year.
