Students from Northwest Missouri made a trip to Jefferson City to see the Missouri Legislature at work last week. State Senator Brad Lager of Savannah says the annual Farm Bureau Youth Leadership Day is a great way to have students get involved.
Lager says he hopes that events like this helps them understand how public policy is made.
Lager says nearly a hundred students were part of Youth Leadership Day, including more than a dozen from Linn and Livingston Counties.
