KANSAS CITY, MO – An Albany man who was tried for fraud at the federal level, was found not-guilty by a jury.

Jurors declared Ryan Ruckman, 60, not guilty Monday of charges that he committed loan application fraud. Allegations centered on claims that he filed for federal benefits in his son’s name to receive additional payments from the Department of Agriculture for farm operations. Ruckman owned farms in several Missouri counties, including Gentry and Daviess.

Although cleared of wrongdoing, Ruckman reportedly lost his job after being indicted by a federal grand jury, and had to file for bankruptcy.
