A dinner will be thrown Thursday evening in appreciation of the Carroll County area agricultural community. Click to hear KMZU’s Brian Lock speak with Carrollton Area Economic Alliance Executive Director Sharon Metz:
Metz said this is a small way to thank the agricultural community. “Our chamber members buy the tickets. Our industrial retail businesses, and then they give them to farmers and farm families that would like to come. So the farmers and their families get to come for free. And the chamber membership of industries and businesses picks up the event for that night,” said Metz.
Mizzou pork chops, potato salad, desserts, and drinks will be included on the buffet. “We’ll just have a great dinner and some fun entertainment, and just appreciate who we are and about our county, and the work that’s being done in our county,” said Metz.
Social hour starts at 6:30 and dinner will be served at 7:00 in the Rupe Center in Carrollton.
