UPDATE: -12 p.m. – The lanes of westbound I-70 south of Boonville have reopened following a vehicle accident early this morning involving three semi tractor trailers.
MODOT’s traveler information map indicates westbound traffic is no longer stalled. Missouri Highway Patrol says one fatality resulted from the crash. Names of persons involved will be released pending the conclusion of an investigation.
BOONVILLE, MO – The Missouri Highway Patrol tells KMZU news one person was killed when three tractor-trailers collided near the 101 exit. All lanes of westbound traffic on I-70 are closed until further notice while accident reconstruction determines the cause of the accident. There is no word on condition of the other drivers involved. The MSHP says motorists are urged to use an alternate routes.
