LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — A Wellington man was killed in a one-vehicle crash at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.
A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that a van driven by Larry W. Terry, 58, was eastbound on Missouri 224 at Waterloo Road in Lafayette County when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the left side of the roadway, over corrected, then ran off the right side of the road. His vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned.
According to the report, Terry was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
