The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released information regarding a fatal one vehicle crash in Ray County that occurred at 12:28 AM on Sunday the 5th of June.
Ryan D. Pliler, 32, of Richmond was driving east of 154th St. when he ran off the right side of the roadway causing Ryan Pliler’s vehicle to overturn onto its passenger side.
Two occupants were in the vehicle at the time; Joseph F. Cole, 46, of Richmond and Robert D. Pliler, 57, also of Richmond. Robert Pliler was pronounced dead at Ray County Hospital following the crash. Pliler was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
Ryan Pliler and Cole both suffered minor injuries.
According to an arrest report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ryan Pliler has been charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter, and one count of 2nd degree assault-driving while intoxicated, resulting in a crash. He has also been charged with two lesser counts of no insurance and a seat belt violation.
