RAY COUNTY, Mo. — A Belton resident was preliminarily charged with a felony Saturday morning after he was allegedly found to be driving the wrong way on a highway.

According to an arrest report from Missouri State Highway Patrol, Stephen Dyson, 50, was arrested under the suspicion of felony driving while intoxicated. Additionally, misdemeanor charges have been suggested for alleged failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, driving the wrong way on the highway, and driving while revoked and with no insurance.

Dyson was placed on a 24-hour hold in Ray County Jail. Future court dates are currently pending.
