RICHMOND, Mo.- A Kansas City resident, 30-year-old Jessica Archer, was arrested in Ray County after a traffic stop. According to the probable cause statement Archer was eastbound on Missouri 10 Highway, west of route C, in Ray County when she weaved across the center line and continued weaving within the lane.
After traffic stop was conducted, Archer was questioned regarding her usage of drugs due to her speaking tendencies. Archer ultimately denied consent to search the vehicle and the Ray County Sheriff’s Departemnt administered a canine search which indicated the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
Due to probable cause vehicle was searched and in Archer’s purse a soft case was found and inside a glass smoking pipe with crystalline substance in it. Field test proved the substance to be methamphetamine.
Archer was booked and processed in the Ray County Jail where she remains in custody and is being charged with felony possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug parpahernalia. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or corporate surety. Court dates are pending.
