CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — This weekend’s Chillicothe Chautauqua in the Park offers lots of fun for everyone.

The 32nd annual Chautauqua in the Park festival is a two-day event including over 100 craft and food booths, a farmers market, traditional arts demonstrations, live music, a petting zoo, a scavenger hunt and story telling.
Narr says that people come from miles away.
“The event itself kind of has a life of it’s own.”
This event will take place in Simpson Park on Sept. 10, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sept. 11, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Narr says participants can expect kettle corn, walking tacos, and pulled pork sandwiches, just to name a few.
“The food is wonderful, everybody loves festival food.”
Chautauqua in the Park is presented by the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce and the Chillicothe Area Arts Council.
Narr says the Arts Council lines up some great live music for the event.
“There is truly something for everyone, from gospel to bluegrass to country western. They also have more modern tunes and some local names.”
