COLUMBIA, Mo. — As Missouri FFA Chapters flock to Columbia for the 2017 Missouri State FFA Convention, the top chapters are recognized for their outstanding action during the year, earning a Top Chapter Award.

Out of 342 chapters in the state, the top ten percent receive a Top Chapter Award. This award is given to the chapters who achieve excellence in student, chapter and community development. The top chapters will compete with chapters across the nation for the National FFA Chapter Award.

The Boonville FFA Chapter was place as the highest ranking chapter in the state. Boonville also claimed the Model of Innovation winner in the area of Building Communities.
