The flooding situation continues to improve on the Missouri River.
Click to hear KMZU’s Chris Clift talk with Carroll County Sheriff Troy Hofstetter:
Hofstetter has been out for most of the past week at a conference required to keep his law enforcement certification.
He spent a good portion of Friday showing a representative from SEMA around the area, and introducing her to the massive effort that has been required to fight the flooding.
According to Hofstetter pumping is going well on Highway 65, and more pumps have been approved.
A possible public meeting with Governor Jay Nixon could be scheduled in Carrollton soon.
Nixon is interesting in hearing from local residents regarding flooding, and if such a meeting is scheduled we’ll provide that information once it is made available.
