There have been some promising signs in the continued fight against flooding on the Missouri River.
Click to hear KMZU’s Chris Clift talk with Carroll County Sheriff Troy Hofstetter:
The Emergency Operations Center in Carrollton was discontinued at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Hofstetter can re-establish the facility at any time if it is needed again.
The conference call for emergency responders and law enforcement with FEMA, the Army Corps of Engineers and others has now been scaled back to a Monday, Wednesday and Friday schedule.
That call was previously scheduled every day.
Hofstetter reminds residents to stay out of the flood waters.
He says debris, bacteria and other factors make it a real bad idea.
