With levees breaking in northwestern MO and more rain in the forecast the Missouri River situation is still on the mind of many listeners.
Click to hear KMZU’s Chris Clift talk with Carroll County Sheriff Troy Hofstetter:
The Missouri River at Waverly was at 24 feet as of Hofstetter’s visit in the noonhour Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has also upgraded the river flood warning at Glasgow from minor to moderate flooding now expected.
Hofstetter says portions of I-29 are closed starting near the Missouri/Iowa border and continuing north.
The levee breach in Holt County is now 100 yards, up from the original 75 yard break on Monday.
