CONCORDIA, Mo.– As the school year ends, many children lose access to nutritious lunches. Food For Kids is helping feed local children by serving free lunch through the summer. food for kids

Food For Kids is open now through August in two locations: Blackburn Community Center and Concordia Community Center. Sweet Springs Community Center will also be open after summer school ends.

Between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, free, nutritious lunches are being provided to the children in the community.

Children are able to receive one free meal everyday throughout summer. Meals include sandwiches, fruit, milk and juice.

Parents or guardians are urged to make the staff aware of any food allergies children may have before receiving a free meal.
