Two people have been formally charged in the death of a Warrensburg Business owner. William “Blaine” Whitworth, 25, was found dead of an apparent homicide Saturday night. Reginald Singletary, 27, and Ziyad Abid, 23, have both been charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of armed criminal action. In addition, Abid was ordered to surrender his passport and any documents that would allow him to travel outside the Continental United States, as well as his pilot’s license. They are both being held at the Johnson County Jail on bond of one million dollars.

Reginald L. Singletary, age 27 of Warrensburg has been charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Armed Criminal Action. Bond was set at $1,000,000.

Abid, age 23 of Warrensburg has been charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Armed Criminal Action, Bond was set at $1,000,000 and Abid was ordered to surrender his passport and any documents allowing travel outside the Continental United States, and his pilot’s license. Both remain in custody in the Johnson County Jail.
So far the Missouri Rural Major Case Squad has followed 112 leads in this case. The squad will continue following leads in this case tonight and return tomorrow for a third day.
