DEKALB COUNTY, Mo.- According to online court records, a former Maysville Junior High math teacher, and high school wrestling coach, accused of 20 sex related crimes with minors, appeared in DeKalb County Circuit Court this morning alongside his attorney for a continued hearing.
Rodney Thomas, 39, last month, was arrested on nine counts of sexual contact with student by teacher, two counts of statutory sodomy and nine counts of attempted enticement of a child. Thomas has recently plead not guilty and has filed for a change of venue.
Reportedly, 10 different student victims came forward and described their alleged graphic incidents with Thomas to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department investigators. Reports also indicate more victims continue to step forward and according the case continues to grow.
A motion hearing has been set for Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 1:30 p.m.
