A former Chillicothe police officer accused of rape/attempted rape and sodomy/attempted sodomy now has additional charges filed against him.
In a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox, 40 year old Brent Schade is now charged with alleged tampering with victim/witness in a felony prosecution. That charge was filed by the Daviess County Prosecuting Attorney. Schade has been incarcerated at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail since early march for the rape/sodomy charges.
Brent Schade has additional misdemeanor charges still pending in Livingston County.

June 17, 2014 Daviess County Prosecuting Attorney Andrea Gibson filed class C felony on Brent Schade, 40, Chillicothe for alleged Tampering with Victim/Witness in Felony Prosecution. A warrant was issued for Mr. Schade on case #14DV-CR00149.
Mr. Schade remains incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail on Livingston County charges on case # 14LV-CR00082-02 of alleged Rape/Sodomy or Attempted Rape/Sodomy in 1st Degree and has been in custody since March 05, 2014. This case is being prosecuted by Caldwell County Prosecuting Attorney Brady C. Kopek as a special prosecutor for Livingston County.
The LCSO participated in both investigation and the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail staff and records helped with our investigation on the alleged Tampering with a Victim/Witness case.
Mr. Schade has additional charges still pending in Livingston County as in January 2014, as case # 14LV-CR00018 was filed in Livingston County and alleges misdemeanor crimes of Hindering Prosecution and Tampering with Evidence. Mr. Kopek is also prosecuting this case as a special prosecutor for Livingston County. This case was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
