MARSHALL, Mo. (KMZU) — A former deputy in Saline County, Missouri has been sentenced on charges filed in April, 2014.

According to court records, Bradley O’Neal, 47, of Marshall, was sentenced Monday to four years in a department of corrections with a 120 day shock period in Caldwell County. That sentence was suspended pending the completion of a five year probation.

O’Neal changed venues in July, 2014 from Saline County to Caldwell County, where he was found guilty on May 11, 2015 for Class D Felony attempted sexual assault.

According to the probably cause statement, O’Neal physically restrained the victim and touched her sexually without her consent. The complaint was submitted on April 15, 2014. Formal charges were later filed.

O’Neal’s probation sentence began Monday and will end in 2020.
