An early Friday morning accident in Johnson County sent four people to the hospital. According to the patrol report, the accident occurred on 50 Highway, as they approached Highway 23. A westbound vehicle driven by Cheyenne Reed, 19, of Sedalia was cutoff in the left lane by an unknown vehicle. She swerved into the median, lost control and crossed the westbound lanes and struck a vehicle in the right turn lane, driven by Sheldon Pittman, 24, of Knob Noster. Reed and Pittman each had moderate injuries. Two passengers in Reed’s vehicle, Noah Updyke, 3, and Averi Wilken, 19, received minor injuries. Reed and Wilken were taken to Bothwell Hospital, while Updyde and Pittman were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center.
