The University of Missouri Extension office in Chillicothe will be offering six days of parenting workshops. Human Development Specialist Jessica Trussell says that all though it’s not required to attend all six classes, it is recommended.  This class is free to the public and will be held at the Extension office.

Chillicothe, Missouri-  A free parent education workshop series will be offered by University of Missouri Extension beginning February 20, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This 6 week Building Strong Families series will focus on learning to build up on family strengths to make the family even stronger. Parents will learn new skills to help improve communication, manage stress, learn new discipline techniques and more. The six sessions will be Family Strengths, Communication, Managing Stress, Positive Discipline, Money Matters and Kids and Self-Esteem. Each day covers a different topic, but participants are asked to attend all six sessions.

The works shops will be held at the University of Missouri Extension Office (2881 Grand Drive) in Chillicothe. University of Missouri Extension programs are open to all.
