SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — The University of Missouri Extension is offering free assistance helping people file their 2016 tax returns.

Volunteers certified through the IRS with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. Disabled people, senior citizens and lower income individuals and families can go to the MU Extension Center in Marshall on Tuesday, March 7 for help. Be sure to bring a photo ID and proof of residency.
