CARROLL COUNTY, Mo. – Around 9:45 p.m. Friday, May 25, traffic was being flagged on Highway 65, South of Bowdry Bridge, eight miles South of Carrollton in Carroll County.

We need to emphasize that there is no water on the highway. Traffic is being obstructed by debris on the highway. It appears to our reporter that water overtopped the highway then receded. A listener also called around 10:20 p.m. to report flash flooding on Route D, West of Route E, in Carroll County.

Captain Paup with the Hale Fire Department, had to cut up a tree with an ax to clear J Highway, East of 65 Highway, as well. KCPL is dealing with a power line across Route Y, North of Brunswick in Chariton County.

We will provide more information when it is available.
