COLE COUNTY, Mo. — A fugitive crash-landed an airplane in a Cole County field in mid-August, the Cole County Sheriff’s Office revealed Friday.
According to officials in Cole County, the plane operated by Graham S. McGill, 59 crash-landed August 13. When officers responded to the scene, McGill said his name was “Scott Star”, according to the Cole County Sheriff’s Office.
McGill was reportedly on the run for more than eight years on original charges filed in a federal court for conspiracy to cultivate and manufacture marijuana.
Further investigation led authorities to find that McGill’s license to pilot airplanes was suspended by the Federal Aviation Administration.
In addition, search warrants were opened on a number of planes, properties and homes owned by McGill in the Cole County area.
McGill is currently held in Clay County without bond.
