Gary D. White, 77, of Wellington, Missouri passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at his home.

An inurnment with military honors will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Greenton Cemetery, 9687 Greenton Rd, Odessa, MO. 64076.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED.  Memorials are suggested to Catch-A-Dream Foundation, 2485 Ennis Rd, Starkville, MS, 39759, and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Memories of Gary and condolences for his family may be left at or on our Facebook Page.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Ralph O. Gary was born on January 3, 1944 in Kansas City, MO to Kenneth and Bonnie Jean (Robbins) Byrd.  After graduating from Raytown High School in 1962, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard on July 9, 1964 in Kansas City, MO, receiving the Badge, Rifle Qualification, and SO 5 FIW decorations during his time served until honorably discharged on July 8, 1970.  On December 18, 1970 Gary was united in marriage to Rebecca “Becky” (Mayfield) in Wellington, MO.  He co-owned and operated KG Machining in Grain Valley, MO for many years before retiring in 2011.  In addition to spending time with family and friends Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, cooking, gardening, and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his wife, Becky, Gary is survived by two daughters, Shelley Walker (Bob) of Raymore, MO, and Amy Pierce (Russ) of Higginsville, MO; a son, Chris White (Amanda) of Adrian, MO; eleven grandchildren, Kristin, Meagan, Aubrey, Bobby, Brooke, Sarah, Allen, Aidan, Bayley, Keegan, and Kordell; thirteen great grandchildren; a sister, Judy George of Raytown, MO; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Carol Throckmorten.
