CARROLLTON, MO – A Carrollton business’s license to sell alcohol was renewed Monday, following a probationary period which was the result of a police investigation into illegal alcohol sales to minors, and under-the-table sale of illegal marijuana products.
The gas station on Benton Street had their license suspended for thirty days following the investigation by police and review by city council. It was then re-instated under a six month probationary period.

At a council meeting Monday, Police chief Christopher Looney was also granted the authority to immediately rescind the liquor license in the event of any future, confirmed cases of illegal sales.
The motion to renew the license, post-probation was passed 4-1. Councilwoman at large Scarlet Horine voted against.
