New this year, a Gathering for Peace will be taking place at the Royal Theater in Macon.  “This year marks the 100th anniversary of the WWI Christmas truce,” King explained, “When soldiers from different army’s, met each other in the no mans land between the trenches to share Christmas cheer with one another.  Building on that, some of my colleagues and I, realized that there is a deep need for prayer for peace in lots of different ways.  Peace around the world, peace in the lives of the ones we care about, and peace within our own selves especially at this chaotic and very very busy time of year.”

Tonight’s song and prayer session will begin at 6:00 p.m.  “The time together will last about 30-40 minutes,” said King, “It will be very quiet but a chance to come together to pray.  It will be church people and non church people alike.  If this is something that calls to your heart, just come.  Take some time out of your busy schedule and spend it in search of peace.  We hope everyone will join us.”
