Unlike many school districts in the area, Glasgow Schools in Howard County is keeping its original graduation date of 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17.

Due to Covid-19 concerns, the ceremony will take place at the high school’s parking lot. To follow the guidelines of social distancing, parents will hand diplomas to seniors, which were previously mailed to graduates. Immediately after, Glasgow fire and police departments will lead the 20 seniors on a parade throughout town. To view the parade route, go the school’s Facebook page.

Residents and wellwishers are encouraged to find a spot along the parade route to cheer for the grads. Rain date for the ceremony and parade is Sunday, May 31st.
