JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft says the best way to make sure your vote counts is to go to the polls to vote.

“The best way to vote is to vote in person and it will be safe and secure and it will give us the results the fastest, which, I think, is really good for the credibility for the process,” Ashcroft told Ozarksfirst.com.

However, those wishing to vote by mail should send it two weeks prior to the Tuesday, Nov. 3, General Election to avoid any mail delays. That target date is Tuesday, Oct. 20
